Looking for a fun, active, and memorable experience these school holidays?

Get the kids outdoors and learning real-life skills with a hands-on fishing adventure they’ll never forget.

Led by a NSW expert in land-based fishing, this 2-hour session is perfect for kids of all ages and skill levels—whether they’ve never held a rod or already love a fish.

We start inside the National Park at Killalea or Seven Mile, where kids learn:

  • How to set up fishing gear the easy way

  • Simple, practical knot tying

  • Beach and fishing safety basics

Then we hit the beach for the fun part:

  • Casting techniques that actually work

  • How to land a fish with confidence

  • Tips and tricks used by the pros

🎒 What to Bring

Keep it simple—we’ve got most of it covered.

Kids should bring:

  • ✔ Hat & sunscreen

  • ✔ Water bottle

  • ✔ Comfortable clothes (okay to get sandy/wet)

  • ✔ Enclosed shoes or sandals

  • ✔ Light snack (optional)

Do kids need any fishing experience?

Not at all. This is designed for complete beginners through to keen young fishos.

What age is this suitable for?

Ideal for kids of all ages. Younger children are welcome with supervision.

Are parents required to stay?

Parents are welcome to stay and watch, or drop off if your child is comfortable.

(Perfect chance for a quiet coffee or beach walk!)

Is it safe?

Absolutely. Safety is a top priority.

Kids are guided through beach safety, casting safety, and fish handling in a controlled, supportive environment.

What happens if the weather is bad?

If conditions aren’t suitable, sessions will be rescheduled or refunded.

Will the kids actually catch fish?

We teach proven techniques to give them the best possible chance—and even if the fish are shy, they’ll still learn skills and have a great time.
